Default I am Honda Stupid!!

I just lost all my toys and I now have my wifes 03 Civic with a D17A1 I guess. anyways. Ive been looking at motor swaps and what will fit in the car. most searches go back to the new series of motors. My question is can I put say a H22 or any type of motor into the car without a lot of problems??

you cannot put a h22 legaly. A k20 will fit, thats all. And its about 4-5 grand if you do it all youself. Its a pretty involved motor swap

f*ck legal. Its taggedin Kansas. they dont check emission and whatever else is involved. so what motors would work minus the legal part. I really dont care it its legal or not.

I don't believe any company makes motor mounts or axles for an h22 swap in a 7th gen, so you'd have to fab up your own... but as far as it being possible, an h22 7th gen can definitely happen.

anything will if you have the money... as far as practicality, you're better off just swapping in a k20a2... there's info on the swap (not to mention companies make mounts and such), and it has a 6-speed transmission
