to safely rev the engine a little higher, you have to strengthen the valvetrain correct? which of the valvetrain components would i have to strengthen?

springs, retainers, and it might be a good idea to redo the valve guides to ensure that there is no valve movement. If you really want to rev high and do it safely...have your crank balanced to a higher rpm.

You need to fully overhaul your head.

What other mods do you have?
