Default I'm doomed...

hi guys...i purchased my 7th gen civic, supposedly with a 1.6L engine. However,i was in for a rude awakening when i realized too late that the model distributed here in the Philippines is placed with the throttle body and intake manifold, fit for the LXi,1.5L civic.at first,i wanted to bore off my manifold to permit more air,but turned out its made of PURE PLASTIC.So since that's already out of the question,i planned to swap it for the TB and manifold of a 6th gen.only, the bolt patterns are different....along with this, the numerous wires and sensors around them complicated things even further.
is there any way for me increase my air intake?pls?[X(] if i can swap it,then from what model?i need all the help i can get.thanks a lot in advance!

If you have a 7th gen you have a D17, which I believe so by your statement about the plastic manifold, if it makes you feel better my fiancee and I were looking at a new car for her and one of them happened to be a RSX, which also had a plastic manfiold.

it wouldn't have been so bad w/ an OEM manifold or a Venom type manifold, the runner length on the Skunk2 were causing the hella b$tch of the problem.
Since you brought that up Nail, I'm gonna have the car back on Monday inspected and all; still runs a tad rich on the low rpm range, but my mech thinks the timing belt may have jumped a tooth or two when I was trying to put the pulleys on myself... so if we are lucky I'll try to have a write up by the end of the month, still gonna need to drive it around and make sure don't doesn't throw any more codes or anything.
