induction kit wont fit!!

kk well i got myself a induction kit just for a little sumfin to do with my car until the engine conversion! got an induction kit of eGAY and it doesnt fit, it stated it

was made specifically for Honda Civic, EJ9, hatch, 96-00!!

funnily enough mine is a 96 hatch ej9!! it just about, and i mean just about closes when the filter is off, when the filter is on there isnt a hope in hell of getting the

hood closed, any1 any ideas of how i can get it to fit, is it going to have to be cut :( ??

here is a link for the kit here, and here are pics of it fitted "kinda"

looks like you need somthing to break it over and bring it down along the side of the motor

It's an ebay intake
like we've all said,
you get what you pay for.
I have seem with most ebay products, you'll do some modification to just get the piece of junk fit.
As for a solution, I don't know.
Maybe try contacting the seller and let them know.
Send them the picture too. See what they will do.
Does that thing even sound good or have good seals on the throttle body?
Looks kinda janky.

cut it down were it fits onto the throttle body to bring it down some more

i have just about teh same intake and the coupler between my intake and TB is kinked a little bit, but not even to restrict it. That way it fits under the hood.

Put it in a jig and bend it down. It wont hurt the flow enough to tell.

or tilt it down more

He can't tilt it down anymore. It's one piece.
If he tried to tilt it down his coupler wouldn't fit right on the throttle body.

Cut some off of where it connects to the throttle body and when reinstalling, rotate it counter-clockwise a little from the position it is currently in so it clears the strut tower.

...Even more evidence that you get what you pay for.

yea the noise comin from it is sweet but bit pointless if i cant even have it fitted unless i fancy cuttin a whole in my hood lol!!

he wrote back to my email asking for pics, sent him them ones i posted on here so if they aint enough to show his product is sh1te then i dunno wot is!

bein honest was stupid to get it off ebay but will be happy if i find a way for it to fit, was half the price and sounds luurvley,

i was only having it until the engine swap anyways and then selling it onto a friend for the same price i got it for

so if its gonna cause bother mite sell it on now and let him get it fixed
