I mean it is nearing its abilities without a big spendy build.
Hmmmm.... For less money i can get H22 power. How hard is it to do? I mean do you just take off the old head and replace it? Pretty sure its not that easy. I am thinking about it cause honda say its gonna cost $5k to do replace my engine... I basically told them to **** off.I dont now where have that money or even 2k for that matter. So i just gonna sell it and maybe get the LS. There is one around my block and the guy is selling for 4800 wit about 100k miles its a 98.

I would NEVER pay over 2.5k for an LS...I mean hell...you can have a GSR installed for 3.2k.

For the LS/VTEC you need.

LS (B18A/B) or CRV (B20A/B/Z) engine (the B20 has a knock sensor the B18 does not)

B16 head

LS/VTEC kit (dowl pins, vtec oil line, gasket)

A VTEC oil line must be ran to the head inorder for VTEC to work. The b16 head has to have some holes opened up to fit dowl pins so the head will sit on the block. And you can install the knock sensor also.

LS/VTEC n/a engines with high comp pistons and bolt ons make well into 230hp range.

Is it reliable? I read somewhere that the Ls/vtec it not good for constant high reving. If thats the case it looks like i will go turbo Ls. O and yea i will be racing the car thats why i would need the reliability.
[&o] if i could only get my si to work properly i wouldnt have to sell it[&o]
