internals

The mini me swap w/ the y8 is in the near future and i really would like to do the internals at the same time. I know i should get a port n polish on the head but to what dimensions would be best? What should i all look to get when im doing the internals (valves, valve springs etc)? I plan on staying all motor but want to get the best results out of the d.

I'd contact Endyn.
Why?

There turn over rate is pathetic, www.akmee.com for the head and crower and/or weisco for the block

RE: internals

Akmee doesn't do headwork (porting, etc.) do they? They just manufacture cams, springs, etc., right?

I'd agree on Crower (rods) and Weisco (pistons). I suggested Endyn mainly because of their "rollerwave" piston design (manufactured by Weisco), and because they seem to actually know what they're talking about when it comes to headwork. If Endyn advertises better than they really are correct me. I've just been impressed with their site thus far.

RE: internals

They do know what they are talking about(Endyn) but I remember when they were amping up the m62 and m90 blowers for the d series and they never followed through with it. Their problem is to many want them to do **** and they dont have enough resources. Akmee does not do head work you are correct but local machine shops can do that.
