jdm d15b boosted
I was looking at prices on engine swaps and noticed the 1.5 liter soch vtec engine. It cost less then half to swap then a b16a2. Would'nt I be a lot faster for the same price if I went with the d15b and boosted it 10 lbs? rather then go with a b16a2? Will the d15b bolt right into my 95 hb si?

RE: jdm d15b boosted
of course you would be faster boosting period lol but anyways isnt the 95 hatch v-tec tho??? why get a engine thats 1.5l v-tec when you have a 1.6l v-tec? i day you should stick with the motor you have and boost it. you boost a good 6 psi on the street and be whooping some culo or 10 at the track but nomore then 10psi. if you really want to get technical then you should get the motor worked on to get it strong for high boost.

RE: jdm d15b boosted
My d16z6 has 131,000 miles on it and it leaks a lil oil and bruns oil in v-tec. I have to swap before i boost....

RE: jdm d15b boosted
ohh no doubt but the kid wants to swap the d16 to a d15b j-spec. bro if your going to do a swap then b18c1 is the way to go if not then a good b16 can get you moving. to my point of view a h22 and type r swap is to much money to spend.

RE: jdm d15b boosted
I had a d16z6 in my 95 coupe and got a great deal on a d15b, well the heads are exactly the same and the d15b puts out alittle more power then the z6 with less displacement, i am already for getting my stripped d series block and build it to run some massive boost...
