hey there guys, Im looking at buying a honda civic to go circle track racing.

this will be the first honda i have owned so bear with me.

The guy that is selling the car is telling me that it has a JDM motor in it, imported from japan.

how do i know if he is telling the truth?

are there any physical differences that i can see to tell if its a japanease motor?

a casting number maybe?
