Default K20 VS B20.... Which is better?

Alright here is my dilema. I have the option for both a B20 with a type R or GSR head for the V-tec setup or a K20 motor swapfor my 97 EK civic Hatch. The K20 will cost more but it seems like a good engine. Here is where I start to wonder. Which engine will be the best to run a turbo on pump gas and produce the best HP and TQ. Also I'm concerned that the B20 will weigh so much more then the k20 setup. Am I right? I could really use some help from people who have these swaps done. I just want to make this the BEST setup for my civic. Also what are the pro's and con's of these two engines. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

^seriously. You do know that a K20 swap in any civic is going to run you over $6k right? And it is definatly a better setup, but at the cost it's really not worth it imo.

i seen K20's for 3k. i say you get the k20, its a better engine, lighter, and will allow for more HP. depending on which one you get though. the k20a has tons of stuff my k20z is still slacking, there is not that much avilable at this time. in another 1-2 years though everything for the k20a will be available for my k20z...... i say k20 man, it has more HP ot start out with. and building it up will be easy.

After ALL the parts and help you'll need to put a k20 into an EK it will definatly cost a hell of a lot more than 3k!!!

If the K20 is so much more expensive then what is the advantages of both engines? Realistically i want 300whp and I have a good friend who's done plenty of B20 v-tec swaps and only 3 k20's. I've been told the B20 is a perfect engine to turbo and do high boost on. Is this true? And are there any areas of either engine i would need to build up to handle the mods? Thanks guys

here's the difference

B20:
pros-cheaper
cons-inferior to k20 in every way

K20:
pros-higher redline, more horsepower, more reliable, newer, lighter, better transmission option, holds boost better
cons-expensive.
