RE: k20a3
ORIGINAL: Marty no i have a p.o.s civic eg.. but it could lead to big plans.. but i've heard stuff about the k20a3 blocks.. should i or not? it has 80k on it.. |
RE: k20a3
Because if it is only 150 then it probably has more than just a few bent valves. Also make sure you know what it takes to get that k20 into your car. You are going to have to buy a lot more than just the engine plus it is just plain a lot of work so if you do it then you are going to have to know what you are doing or have a lot of money to pay someone else to do it.

RE: k20a3
I say go for it. It's cheap and the bigger the pain it is to work with, the more you'll learn :D
|
RE: k20a3
No because you can get a complete K24 w/o burnt valves for around $500 and the A3 bottom end is just not the ideal starting point. It is like starting with a D15A2 when you could get a D16Z6 for just a little bit more.

RE: k20a3
it sounds like a good deal to me, especially if its for a project car. a good bit of time and work, and you'll be proud of it
but......marty>> where are you getting this for $500? |
RE: k20a3
i dont think its worth it , like mobsta said it takes a lot of work and money to get a k series into a civic.
