Little Problem

YES I did do a search for this but there were no solid answers.

I just drove from Victoria to Edmonton (over 1000km) and only 3 breaks, the longest 15 mins. The car drove like a charm, but, when I got home and looked at the exhuast tip I saw black (carbon?) build up on it and on the bumper. There isnt any black smoke present when I drive. But, it was a long stressful time on the engine, about 16hours most of the time at 140kph. Plus I was sposd to get an oil change about half way through the trip according to the little sticky on the window.

So is it just cause of the circumstances? Long non-stop drive + 200km past oil change time?

Thanks,

Its just carbon build up. I take it you have a white car. Your car can go more than the 3k miles on one oil change. Just get one soon though. And change out the oil to full synthetic. You will be able to go 7k miles on one change and your power gas should go up too.
