Default low rpm's again...

as some of u may know i had a little problem with low rpm's and it was because of a lose part in my exhaust. but this time its different..i check my header and cat-back and everything is nice and tight. so what could it be??? im wondering if it might have something to do with the sparkplugs or the fuel system but im not to sure. any ideas?? i really have no idea what it could be....please help!!

Id say your on the right track by checking the fuel system and ignition system, you might also check the compression to see if any seals arent holding up.

I think i may have a similar problem. Sometimes mine idles really low and then dies. It will do it a few times but then be fine. And it happens randomly..like once a week or every two weeks. Not too much. I thought maybe my alternator was bad and taking all the power from the battery but i had that checked and its ok. I didnt know about a loose exhaust causing it. Should i take it to a shop to get the exhaust checked out or is it something i can check myself?

i doubt its my o2 sensor because i just got brand new one when i got my headers. as far as checking ur exhaust, just do it urself. make sure theres no lose parts or cracks and there arnt any leaks. my best guess would be something with the spark plugs or fuel system but im no expert on that kinda stuff so i dont really know. im gena have to check when the last time i replaced my spark plugs and everything was.

i just talked to my dadio and he told me some stuff. tell me wether this is correct to do or not. he said i should change the fuel filter, get new PCB valve, and get new spark plugs. my car has high mileage(165k) and seems like these havnt been changed in a long while so he suggest to do that and that should hopefully take car of the rpm problem. he said also to buy a new air filter but im buying a while new Weapon R Serect Weapon intake soon so that's gena already be taken care of. is this right to do? will this help my rpm problem out? where can i buy theses parts? how much do these things cost?

thanks, i really appreciate it!

My uncle owns an import shop and when he check out my car last time for this problem..he told me to replace the fuel filter and spark plugs as well. (i havent done it yet because ive been busy) And ive only got about 34k on my car. Im guessin that your dad knows what hes talking about.

i think what you mean is the PCV valve not the pvb valve, and one way to check if it is working right is take it out and shake it, if it rattles its still good, if it doesnt and does nothing, its bad
