ls head ideas different from mine

My block the b18b1 has darton sleeves, wesico pistons, crower rods,I am going with the ls head also I was talking with the guy who has the head at his machine shop about going with crower turbo cams, crower valveterrian, and ferra valves with a 1mm overbore.Does this sound like a good set-up or should I run something different. What would be a good idea for a ls head setup to get 600hp.I am running a gt35r turbo

Have you thought about going VTEC? The vtec head flows more air than the LS head. If you do stay with the LS head you should for sure get a full port and polish done and valve job.

I've heard the best head for flow is a b16. You'll have to get a slightly smaller piston, in terms of compression ratio, because it will increase compression. I'm with lost, go with vtec.

what are the specs of the block bore and stroke wise? its very hard to tell u what to do when you dont give any info. remember that with vtec you'll be opening the valves more and could run into clearence issues if u have a flat or dome top piston.

what are u going to be doing with the car? 9.8:1 is pretty high CR, altho it can be done but you'll probably be running racegas 100% of the time if you keep it at the boost you tune it at. you could possibly turn the boost down alot to keep the detonation away, but you still might run into preignition issues with a higher CR
