LX Civic??

Hello all
I am currently looking for a spare engine in case the one i have in my car goes out. i have a 1992 Honda Civic LX 4dr . So any suggestions or anything would be nice.
Also i can't figure out what vtec is i tried to Google it but didn't get any good answers!!!
so if anyone would like to explain to me that would be great.

Thanks, bye

D16z6 will give you a little bit more horsepower and give you V-tec which is always fun, but you will need to wire the v-tec and get a v-tec ECU.

And an lesson on V-tec, its honda marine but applies the same to car engines except on d16z6 v-tec switch over is at 5,500 rpm not 4,500 like on the boat engine

Will work if you have know how to mount it, harness it, and tune it, and you obviously don't have any idea since asking what's VTEC.

Do the readings first.
