Default main bearings?

so i was on the net today looking for some ACL main bearings....i found a place that sells them by motor, not by color (i guess thats how they are sometimes?) and i found a "kit" here!
and they are for D16A1/A6/Z6.......will those work with a y8? i just dont want to waste time and money if they arnt what i need. thanks guys!

wether or not they work, i dont know, but one think to keep in mind is the acl bearings are a "One size fits all" kind of bearing. they equate to all green honda oem bearings, so unless u calculated to have all green or some where around there, they i would just stick with oem bearings, i know they are more expensive, but they are deffinatly worth it if you want to do it right

i havent calculated any thing yet...but i dont see any bearing made for my block being to far out of tolerance....so acls are "one size fits all" i learned something new today... i think im going to call my honda dealer now and see what he can come up with.
thanx.

they are gonna tell u that u need to find what color u need, there are two ways to do it:

1.) useing a repair manual, locate the stamped codes on the blokc, crank, and rods, and buy the bearings that were originaly in there, if the engine is fairly new, and in good condition, this might work.

2.) the more technicly sound way is to measure the inner diameters of the block girddle, and the inners diameters of the rod ends. then measure the outer diameter of the crank journals. then claculate for the desired oil clearnace, and use a table to find the desired colors. then page that i found that has easy equations and an entire color conversion chart is HERE

i should let you know that a set of main bearings, rod bearings and thrust bearings, cost alot more then a set from acl, for my D16Z6 it was $220
