milage turbo question

is it ok to boost your engine if you have 145 thousdand miles??

If your compresion is good then you shold be ok but the older the motor the better the chance of having a bad seal or something.

If your going to go low boost and set it up correctly you should be ok. Im sure alot of ppl boost without doing a full engine build and there motors last.

The main thing is dont go and run 18psi of boost and expect things to last to long especially if its not tuned correctly.

There are people here who are boosted who will probably chime in with more detailed info.

whats a good compression number so tis safe to turbo a car?..well for my engine a d16y7
