hi guyz i was wondering i have a d16y8 sohc non vtec. what kind of head should i get in order for me to have a vtecand what parts do i need in order for this to be completed?

 

Umm, I'm pretty darn sure that the D16Y8 engine IS a VTEC engine. The D16Y8 doesn't say VTEC on the valve cover.

 

D16Y7= non vtec
D16Y8= vtec

Check on your tranny, it will say which one it is. When you open the hood, its under your engine and toward the left side,facingfront, near the starter i believe. correct me if i am wrong (I'm trying to do this from memory).

So yeah, the badge is on the block, to the left of the header, and a little lower, where the header meets the head.
