maybe i/h/e would give you some more ft lb of torque down low were you want it... d-series really only have ok power in the midrange.

well there is always the overlooked..............smaller diameter tires. youll be suprised how much faster you can get out of the hole with a 20" tall tire. also a higher stall tq converter will help........but with an auto not much will help. do a 5spd conversion for the time being.

thanks guys, and i would give it a tranny swap if i... ( im ashamed to say it) only knew how to drive stick.... i dont know how... , how did most of you guys learn? because manual cars are pretty hard to find now-a-days

Driving a manual is not difficult at all. The easiest way to learn is to just know someone that has one and have them teach you. Other than that you'll have to get creative.

my buddy who has a 93 si hatch, taught me when i got my car, he told me to leave my foot half on the clutch, half depressed. and start hiting the gas breinging it to about 2,000 rpm and to slowly let go of the clutch, it takes practise but you have way more controll of the car once u do get it . yo uhave to feel the popint were the clutch engages oonto the flywheel . you can feel it trust me , that was jsut for starting in first gear!
