all of 92 hp at 6000 rpm...
i think you just flattered his engine with that one, i've got the same civic and was told it makes about 80 HP... plus all the milage, and you can guarantee it isn't making 92, or 80 for that matter.

personally, i would skim the head. it's about the cheapest thing if you can do the work yourself and send it to a machine shop.

good call. remember though, if you do that, the cam gear is closer to the crankshaft, which changes the angle on it and can throw off your cam timing. so go ahead and install an adjustable cam gear too. make sure you crank down the little bolts too, cause if it slips, it can kill your motor. ive seen people change the little allen screws for 8mm bolts so you can really tighten them down.

its probably 92 to the crank, 80ish to the wheels.

That's the manufacturers claimed crank hp... if you got 80 hp to the wheels you're losing 12 hp from drivetrain losses, which is pretty damn good.

I have a 93 honda civic with the 1.5 liter direct port fuel injection and no time for a motor swap because im going to be driving about 1500 miles to school and i want some power out of mine. and if you do the exhaust right, not too big and not too small you will get better fuel mileage and some more power. ive got a short ram intake on mine and thats about it. the roads going throught the next 2 states are 75-100 mph and i want to have some power and fun.
