Motor Question

I have a '98 Civic EX. I'am planning on a future motor swap. I got a d16 right now and was looking at either a B16a or B18 ls. Can anyone suggest a good motor to swap in for about 2k or under?

Keep in mind that is just the engine and not the transmision, but it is still a good deal. Another place to look would be local junkards in your area.

Go to www.craigslist.com and find your city/area. Then look around and see if you can find a local guy selling the engine, it should be cheaper than buying it from Sunrise assuming you find someone. I've seen a couple in the chicago section in the last couple months.

Ebay is always an option, but I would try to talk to local tuners and see whats for sale. I just picked up a B18A with crower stage 1 cams for 400 bucks, and found a gsr tranny for 150. just ask around, you'll be surprised whats nearby.

^^^ thats the most bitch pain in the ass you can do to a honda engine. its very hard to build an LS/VTEC right and it will cost a good few grand to get a pro to do it.
