My car

Ok, I know its not a Civic, But after i get a Civic and mod it I'll be sure to post it here

Well anyways, I have a 77 Monte Carlo. It had a 305 in it but I have now switched a 454 out of my 72 Chevelle SS into the Monte Carlo. I have dual flowmasters with chrome tips. :D The engine is stock but I'm going to mod it. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. Money isn't an issue at all I want the best.

you should really look into a chevy forum to get better tips on modding it. i would say get some good aluminum heads, intake and a good carb. put on headers and you would be pretty good to go.

No you're not. I had a 84 Z28 that I put a 327 in about 4 years ago. That thing was a beast. But then I had to become a family man. :D It's all good. I enjoy my imports just as much as domestics. Just as long as it's not a Chevette. [:'(]

a Chevette, ha, theres one down the street with 89 miles on it. Then engine blew when it was driving up the steep driveway. lmao. Now it sits, rotting away with 89 miles on it

Your big hold back on HP is your heads there probably oval ports so I would find a set of rectangular port heads and have screw in studs installed so you can install guide plates and use roller rockers. A good intake is a performer RPM air gap it’s the hottest duel plane out there right now. As far as a cam I would suggest a comp cam Magnum 270 or the 280 there as big as I would use on the street with a big block. With the cam your going to want a good stall converter with around 2,500 RPM stall I would get a TCI with a anti balloon plate just incase you decide you need NOS. I would use a Holley 750 double pumper or a 750 mechanical secondary speed demon. DUI makes a great HEI but if you want something really hot I would use a Mallory comp 9000 unalite with there coil and a high fire ignition. I like flow tech headers there cheep and work great and are the only brand besides hooker that I will buy. use 3.55 or 3.77 gears and this will be a quick car there are going to be other little things like your going to probably want and install new rings, bearings, seals ect… this is just a guess but I would say with the following parts you should be around 450+ HP and be able to hit a mid 12 if you can get the car to hook up at the track.
