my car wont go pass 100mph?????
 

for some reason when i push on the gas to speed it sound like theres a bog. like the engine isnt sounding right. sometimes my rpm gauge dosent work right like when i drive it jumps to 4000 rpm and it should that fast. and some days it works right. now the other day i was on the highway and i pushed my car when i got to 5th gear i was doing 100 and i was at 4000 rpm and it wouldnt go pass it. im confused at y

what car do you have and why do you need to go past 100 lol,

lol idk im jus tryin to figure out whats wrong. i have a d15b7. 5th gen.civic. my old engine i could get to 120 in 4th it seems to me theres something not right cause i get no cel light. everything i pretty much new.

any mods on the engine? i have d16y7 with mini me y8 and couldnt get past 100 till i put an exhaust on.. now i can hit 115 or so

you may have something going on in the distributor, are you sure the cel works? does it come on for 3 secs when you first turn the key on??

if it is. figure out where it bogs down at, ok, then right before it boggs down slam in the clutch keep your gas in and pop the clutch. then make a hard right turn into the ditch next to you....

civics are economy cars, you lucky to push 80mph stock.. come on people, these arent fast cars unless you start modding them.
