My New prpject, i could use a little help.
What up people,
I have a 1998 honda civic DX and this is the first time i have decided to tune a honda but here are my plans and this is where i hope someone can help me.
I want to get a b20 CRV engine and v -tech it, i like the b20 because #1. its a b series motor #2. it has alot of torque so i can put money into horsepower and have a well balanced engine, but my questions are #1 what type of tranny can i put on it i have a manual tranny, crv is auto tranny? #2. What down to the smallest parts do i need to do to have it completely turbo ready and what company is probally the best to go with, #3. would you suggest a different build and if so give me some information on what needs to be done to it to have it turbo ready. Oh and no i dont have much of a budget, im a single male who lives on his own and works full time with a paid for civic, so no money is not an issue. please help

RE: My New prpject, i could use a little help.
Well theres more info out there for an ls/vtec swap. In either case, the walls on the b20 are fairly thin so you DEFINITELY need it sleeved if youre gonna boost it. Totally build it then, port and polish, head work, pistons, rods, sleeved, cams (included with headwork). Theres a ton more, and youll have to research it. Building a "mut" engine isnt just as easy as slappin a VTEC head on it. I know Golden Eagle makes a kit to do it. If you want, pm me and ill send you some links to some sites i found informative on the ls/vtec builds
