need help & suggestions=)

Hey guys I'm new to the civic world. I just picked up a 93 si and want to start modding the engine. First off what do you guys think i should do? I dont want to get too crazy with a Turbo. I just want a good amount of power. I was thinking of putting a B-16 but you guys may have other suggestions. I want the car to be all motor but i dont want to get too techniqal and dish out a crazy amount of cash. Also i need to know what parts are the best bang for the buck? Thanks

well first off welcome to the forum and second you can but in a b16, b18, b20, h22,h23,k20,k24. If you really wnat more power go with a engine swap. You will benifit from this more than me I have on 04 si with the k20a3 in it yeah its good on acceleration but really sucks on top end. But its up to you.

On the parts it all in the research. Compare dyno slips to other part find out which makes the most power and torque. It all in the research it depends on what you want also.

You could also stick with the d-series. It's cheap and you can make a very decent amount of power for not very much money. Honestly I recommend checking out d-series.org and using the search function there. Most people will tell you to go with a b/kseries, but if you're on a budget the d make all the sense in the world. good luck.

edit: It would also help if you would define a "crazy amount of cash" is.

alright thanks guys. Yea i have no clue what i want to do...i know i want an all motor car on spray because turbo is just way to expensive for my blood. a lot of guys i kno are either k-20 or b-20 with typie head...i would like to make a lot of power. some guys tell me to go with b-20 cause they're easier to get parts for but they're low compression so i'll juss have to resleave it..whats your opinion? which motor you think has some serious balls and is strong enough for spray?
