I for sure cant do an engine swap myself, so I think im just gonna keep the d16y8 and buy a turbo for it + other boltons. Is there any prep I need to do to the engine before I turbo it?

compression test and also read the thread about Forty04's boosted d16y8. he had some problems with it that you can avoid before you boost yours and have detonation as well. if you want to go more than 7-8 psi then you will need to get new rods and pistons, headbolts, new clutch, etc. the 14b turbo is a pretty good turbo for the d16y8 as well. you should read up on the turbo section to see what you need to piece your own turbo kit together because this is cheaper.

do a compression check and make sure all cylinders have nice pressure. I'm currently doing a turbo build to my d16y8. I took some info from another post on this forum. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1263795 Should help you to understand what all you need to do for a turbo and help you decide what you wanna do. You'll be able to achieve 210whp on your stock internals.
