New Alternator

The alternator in my 97 seized up cuz it was sitting for so long and now i need a new one. is there any mail order companies that sell a good brand or an aftermarket alternator that i could get. i ask this cuz the napa autoparts store that i called wanted $400 canadian plus core charge for their alternator, and i wanted to know if there is a better alternative to such a drastic price. any help would be f-in awesome!

See if you have a auto electric repair shop and see how much it is to rebuild the alt it cost me like 45$ usdm for a alt rebuild.

I could do the rebuild myself but there is not alot of things here in labrador (no honda dealership) it's hard enough to find a chevy alternator rebuild kit let alone a honda civic. so if someone has some experience with any ordering companies or any suggestions would be great

i think you would need to have a press to press in new bearings if u were to rebuild it yourself but have you tried rockauto.com? they have one for 108 american after core charge.
