New cam=crap idle? Help!!!

Hey guys I just got a new cam from a friend of mine. I have an 89 hatch with a zc non v-tec 1.6 swap. Anyways, I got this cam (its from "WEBCAMS" its a street/strip cam) We spent quite a while putting it in, and after we were finished we started it up to see what it was like and it could hardly hold an idle. We checked again on our timing and we were like three teeth off from correct timing! HO-LEE KUH-RAP! When I saw that I pictured in my head the pistons making contact with the valves! Everything was ok tho and we moved it back to where its supposed to be but now we have another problem. The car has no power. I have to rev it so friggin high in order to move anywhere, and even then it doesnt have any power! Please help!

your timing is still off. either on the belt, or ignition timing.

If you are positive you didnt bend a valve then you need to do a compression test and make sure that you are getting compression.

also i would do a leak down on top of compression to make sure ur valves are seating right and ur piston rings are still good.... also the cam could b made for a mod u dont have. make sure ur cam works with the mods u have....
