new engine

i was thinking of getting a full swap with my d16 for a b series engine but i dont know if i should get the b16 or the b18 i have heard the b16 is a lot better and the person also told me that the b18 had a way bigger chance in throwing a rod. But this is what i plan on doing to the engine after the swap. turbo charge and then: new pistons, rings, rods, springs, fuel injection, and intake. Which engine would be better for that. i would appreciate it if you helped me out.

Who ever told you a B18 has a better chance at throwing a rod, get away from them and never take advice coming from their mouth again.

^ ditto. a well done b18 will eat a b16 for a snck

RE: new engine

do you thinka b20 would be en even better choice than a b18? or a better question what would be the best and biggest motor i could put in my car. and thank you for clearing that up

the b16 is a nice motor but if your gunna spend all that money on a swap make it worth your while with the b18. A freind of mine swapped a b16 in his crx and my turbo 95 ex passed him like he was in park.

I think it would be better to do all the internals first, then charge it...I mean that would be the smart thing to do.

RE: new engine

yea i am doing my internals first i was just listing them in random order what about the b20 would that walk around a b18? And another motor i was thinkin about was an h22

RE: new engine

RE: new engine

i do plan on boosting it.i am only going to push about 8 psi though. But i figured out what motor i want. i want the b18c5, and if anyone knows where i can get one i would appreciate it if you would let me know. If i cant get the c5 any b18 motor will do.
