New or old civic
Hi,
i am looking into buying my first honda and i don't know where to get a used honda with low k or a new one. Part of my problem is how many clicks, before a the engine would need to be rebuild. I know that how the engine is maintained makes a difference. I am looking at either a 2000- 2004 civic with between 81,000-14000 kms |
RE: New or old civic
2000 isnt the same generation as 01-04.
IMO you should look for a 5th gen or 6th gen. 5th (my fav) is 92-95...6th is 96-00 (but there were some changes between 98 and 99). idk exactly how many kms translates into a mile...bu thonda engines usually get to 300k miles before they go bad. those mile #s are very low for one. anything between 50,000 and 150,000 is what id look for. |
RE: New or old civic
okay, i know that they are different generations. I have been looking at older ones but they all seem to have over 250000 kms on them. SO what wrong with getting a car with low kms.

RE: New or old civic
lol nothing is wrong with them....just depends how much money you got..:-p;)

RE: New or old civic
i love my 03 and highly recommend one if you want something to play with and dont mind doin and engine swap for major hp gains, cause its hard to push a whole lot more out of a 115 HP stock motor. I would definatly recommend getting an EX though!

RE: New or old civic
shop around a bit. you shouldnt have much trouble finding something between 75 and 150k miles.
what will you use this car for? are you using it as a project to make it fast? as a car to make a quick DD out of? or just as a transport from A to B? |
RE: New or old civic
well the car will be used for work as well as presure ( yes getting from a to b) as well as going up north and over to van island

RE: New or old civic
ok so in general its not going to be tuned, turbod, built, or anything else that will compromise life span.
id say youd be ok with anything up to 250k miles. |
