Newbie with a Question

Whats up guys, My name is Tom from Ct and i have a 93 Civic LX Sedan with a stock Honda Motor (Not Vtec).. i dont know much about honda because i been raised to be a Ford Fan all my life. I got My honda a couple days ago and thought about modding it a little. i was thinking about putting an SI motor from a 89 CRX. would i have any kind of problem putting it into my car? if i can what would i have to do to make it fit

thanks alot guys Tom

RE: Newbie with a Question

the only problem that u would really have is that your car is obd1 and the crx motor is obd0...but why would u want to put that motor in anyway...its about what u have now...non vtec mpfi...you should get a b16 or b18 for a worth while swap

RE: Newbie with a Question

Hey. I was raised in a Ford family too. my first 2 cars (well, one car, one truck) were fords. after relentlessly fixing things that would break on them, i now have a Honda that i am relentlessly fixing things I break on it.:D but its alot easier to work on Hondas, and more fun. Welcome to the Dark Side. as for your motor, look for a d16z6 out of a 92-95 ex or SI for a cheap upgrade, or the aforementioned B16 or B18.
