Newbie...v-tec

Default Newbie...v-tec

Like I posted in another treath I'm new to the Honda world.Please pardon my ignorance....Can somebody explain me the diference between a regular engine and a v-tec engine. I just picked up a Honda Civic EX 2003 with the v-tec engine. and how many ponys can I gain installing a CAI

search, as for the hp on a CAI, it all depends on what your running it on along with what mods. It shouldnt be more than 5-15 hp or no more than a 5% increase. You do get better throttle response and engine efficiency with a CAI. Most people tend to overlook that and go straight for the HP gains. Just be sure that if you want a CAI, try as best you can to keep it dry.
