I have been looking through the latest Honda Tuning mag. and they have alot of articles on nitrous systems. I have a 2002 Civic EX sedan. 1.7 liter. I would like to put about a 40 - 50 shot on it. Only mods are K & N CAI and straight through 2 1/4" exhaust. Any suggestions on a good affordable kit for my car. THANKS.

 

look to NX or NOS, but it HAS to be a wet kit. you cant run dry on a returnless fuel system like that of the 01+ civics. though a turbo would be a better long term investment, but people always hate to hear that.

 

I would get a turbo but I don't think I want to put to much into it. I am thinking about buying an old beater honda and building a car that I can run on the weekends. Autocross or something like that. One that I can gut and do things I wouldn't do to my daily driver. Maybe a turbo. I would just like a little boost every once and a while.

 

What do you mean by returnless fuel systems?

 

The fuel runs from the tank to the fuel rail and thats it, so when you need more fuel it has to come from the tank. In the other civic models it goes i a big circle so there can be alot more fuel at the rail cause if you dont use it it has somewhere else to go. I think there is a way to convert it to return style though.
