when i'm on the gas, it sounds like a sword cutting through the air. you know the song from linkin parks first album? the song "Crawling" the very begnining, that noise...that! just changed the megan muffler to a new stock one, and i hear it now cause, alot more quiet, duh. so any ideas?

 

Could just be your intake. The main reason for the convoluted flow thru stock intakes is to keep it quiet. An aftermarket intake can be quite loud unless you also change the exhaust so you can't hear it any more.

dude i love the sound the intake alone makes, and i like the sound it's making now =D just wondering if it's normal. and i don't think it's the intake. it could be though...i hope so...more WOT for me!!!

 

its the intake doing what its supposed to do.

 

what kind of intake do you have? just by removing all the excess/un-needed stock intake tubing and cutting a hole in the bottom of my stock intake there is a different sound. it's normal. w/ a ram-air or cai w/ a decent filter it can somtimes sound similar to a turbo spool at a higher RPM

 

dudes i've had intake in a few of my cars. this sound it pretty weird, before the exhaust system i had another kind of intake on, i got the exhaust system and changed the intake, and then silence the muffler by taking it out and putting a new stock muffler, so it's quiet back there, and now i hear it. listen to crawling from linkin park the very begining, i swear. i just want someone to tell me they have that too
