Not sure what kind of engine...

I'm not too sure what kind of engine I have. I just recently bought a 1999 civic lx 5-speed. I really like this car, it's great. Anyways I was doing some research on it cause I'm thinking about installing a turbo kit into it(buying it off ebay), but I don't know what kind of engine it is. I was doing research on it and wikipedia says a 97-00 Civic Lx is a D16Y7 engine, but I don't think it is cause I was looking at pictures of it and that opening where the air intake is supposed to go is facing upwards instead of to the left. I noticed when I put in a new air intake. Here's some pictures of it.

I'm not too much into cars so I don't know all the jargon for engines and such.Unless it really doesn't matter where the opening is for the air intake to go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a D16Y7 engine. Someone has installed an aftermarket air intake.

I actually just recently put that in a few days ago. It rides a lot better, IMO. My brother, his friend, and I put it in. It was originally a Cold Air intake, but my brother's friend said that a lot water might get into the engine and ruin it so I didn't add the other pipe and just left it like that.

It does run a lot better than it did with the stock though and it's louder and I can feel the car vibrate from it. I don't have anything holding it other than the clamps attached to the engine. Is that a good thing or a bad thing or does it not matter?
