Exclamation NOW : START UP/IGNITION PROBLEM. very weird.

so heres the weird problem. my girlfriend and i recently changed our thermostat and the lower radiator hose (they work fine now). as we were putting the hose back in the amp wire connected to the battery cable sparked and i think we blew a fuse. the car started before the spark occurred. everything electrical such as the radio, lights, dashboard, etc - turns on. the car just wont start up. we just changed the starter signal fuse (the red 10A fuse) but we didnt change the ignition fuse yet because we dont know if we need to purchase one or not. the starter & ignition coil are fine, we just cant seem to figure out how the amp wire on the other side of the car (once again connected to the battery cable) would have anyting to do with the car starting.

any suggestions/ help/ ideas would be appreciated.

let me know if pictures are needed.

What year Civic? (90 Civic?)

Does the starter crank the engine with the key in ON(III)?

Do the dash warning lights illuminate with the key in ON(II)?

Is there bright white spark at all four plugs?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds when the key is turned to ON(II)?
