Lol... I was talking to a friend who races subies and porches... hes having a very hard time believing that a C5 b16 combo with rods could pump out 400whp

not sure, the guy who will be working on the car is getting prices for option 1,2,3. 1 and 2 will be similar. But if its not outrageous.... the c5 it will be.

The C5 head would better, if that's available. UDSM C5 would be better than JDM also (comp is about 5 tenths lower).

What are you talking about? A C5 bottom end attached to a b16 head is one of the nastiest combos most can only dream about.

The C5 head is the exact same as a B16 except the C5 has a mild port. I don't know what you're talking about.

:edit: C5 has better valvetrain also. Not sure how well the cam would do with boost.

Im talking about compression. It is known that a b16 will yeild higher compression since the C5 doesnt have that much in the first place. But if im talking out of my *** please correct me.

Naw, they're of the same cast. You might be thinking of a C1 head vs B16. In that case you'd be correct. A C1 block with a B16 head is known as a poor man's type R, because the B16 head is 'same' as the type-R (C5) head.
