Default oil

without going into long detail of my question, but do all 1.6L honda engines all take the same amount of oil and use the same size oil filter? any input is nice. thanks in advance

No, the amount of oil usually depends on you motor. My y8 takes 3.5 quarts, and I think the y7 takes something like 3.7 qts. They are all around that amount. The amounts are listed in a Haynes/Chilton manual.

I am unsure regarding your question about filter sizes. You could go to a Pepboys and check in the little manual/booklet they have on the shelf.

yeah i have a y8 but my cousin just bought traded for a crx with a swapped motor but i dont know if he found out what kind of d16 it was.

my d series engines have all taken 3.5L every oil change
3.7L dry
