Default Oil on Breather tube?

Hey all,
I was installing a new intake on a friends car and when I took the breather hose that runs from the valve cover to the intake off, therewas motor oil all over it. Then when I took the stock intake off there was some oil on the outside of the throttle body. Can anybody tell me why this would be and if there is anything wrong with it. By the way, it was an H22 engine that was swapped into an ej. Any ideas?

Default RE: Oil on Breather tube?

its just blowby. the tube was doing its job, now with the oil on the outside of the throttle body maybe the throttle body coupler/boot ripped a little or maybe there is a crack in his intake manifold
