oil leak
 
i have a 97 honda civic dx with a oil leak onlythe realproblem is i dont know where the oil is coming from. i have already replaced the oil pan gasket and am sure this is not the cause of the problem. any sugestions?

did you get the bolts good and tight? and where is the oil comeing from what part of the engine?

yes the bolts are tightit seams to be leaking between the motor and the clutch but its looks like its running down the block i just dont know from where

if there is oil on the engine above the flywheel then it can be one of three things, valve cover seal, cam seal, or a head gasket.

if ther is not oil on the engine above the flywheel, it can be one of three other things, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, or input shaft seal. i assume u have to add oil to the engine, and not the tranny? if so then you can ignore the input shaft seal, because u would be leaking tranny oil.
