Overbored block

ok im looking at a new d16z6 block, it has been .5mm overbored, and it comes with pretty much everything except the head. is .5 a standard size and how hard is it to find pistons for this size?. i would be buying this to go turbo, so is it still ok for boost and still be ok on the stock sleeves? and finally, if i use my stock d16z6 head, would i run into problems with it being overbored?

EDIT: how much do you think a block like that is worth, it has stock rods with the stock pistons, thermostat housing, crank, crank cover, oil pumpo, oil pan, oil screen, tensioner, timing spring, oil dip stick ect?

RE: Overbored block

.5mm OB is not a problem for boost, and pistons are not hard to find for that size whether forged or OEM cast. Don't have it bored anymore though as .5mm is the limit Honda reccomends. Because of that, keep in mind that once that block bites it you'll have to get a new block or sleeve that one (new block is cheaper).

RE: Overbored block

cool, thaks for the info, is it ok to use stock head, or does that have to be milled out?

and what pistions should i be looking at? i know im gonna boost in the future, but nothing big, should i look for some average compression, or get some low compression pistons?

.5 is very minimal so you dont have to do anything to your cylinder head. if you replace the rods in the motor than you can run 15-18psi without worring about a rod snapping

RE: Overbored block

a complete stock z6 engine runs about 650 bucks so i would take like 200 off for the head. offer him 400-450 for it
