Default performance camshafts?

ok guys, i was interested in getting some new bumpsticks, well a new bumpstick. freakin single cam, anyways. what would i have to do before hand for this, and what would i also have to do to accomodate this. do you have to mess with fuel if you go for a more agrressive cam? i dont want a crazy cam, i still want a relatively smooth idle, but some more HP. i here the crower cam is pretty tight. my sig shows what i have so far in the engine bay, should i have other stuff done before investigating some new cams. and what if i plan on going turbo in the future? how will the new cam affect that?

ZEX 59300 can is probably the most popular for the SOHC vtec. Im not sure if you need aftermarket springs for it, I hope someone else can come in here and tell you.

Stage one wouldn't need a tune but if you get stage 2 or higher you will need to chip your ecu and tune it. Weather or not you need upgraded springs/retainers depends on which one you get. Each company will have different recommendations plus if you are going to turbo later I would just wait until then and get a turbo cam and install it the same time you install the turbocharger.

ok thanks, ive been talking with my local tuning shop, and was looking into some stage 1 cams which dont need any aftermarket enhancements or tuning. they say that they work well with turbo applications, so i shouldnt have to change them out later would i?

Stage 1 cams aren't even worth it in my opinion. Do some online research and don't count on shops to tell you the right thing, they are just trying to make a sale.
