Honda civic 2004 1.7 motor stutter with heavy rain.
Yesterday I had to pickup my daughter and it was raining heavily. The road was flooded. The engine lost power and stopped. I could restart the engine but went home and asked my neighbour to help me to pick up my daughter.

 

It may have just ingested too much water. When that happens, it just needs to sit for a minute.
