Please help!

Ok, im swaping in a obd1 B16 into my 96 EX. Im down to the wiring and the obd2 dizzy has one plug and obd1 dizzy has two plugs (one 7 pin and one 2 pin). I am using my ex harness. My question is how do I swap the plugs over? The 7 pin off the obd1 plug has the same wires except for thew black/yellow wire which I know goes over to the 2 pin plug. Theres a dark blue wire though which isnt one the obd2 harness. How do I wire this into my ex harness? I hope I explained it good enough. Everyone on hondaswap.com says I have to get a obd2 si dizzy and that I cant wire the obd1 dizzy to my obd2 harness, but I know i have read somewhere in the past that you can, and I cant see why you couldent anyway?

if you hav'nt already done this, remove the pins from the plug on both dizzy's and swap them, you also need to run a few wires for vtec... for better response post ignition questions in the fuel management section, btw, im uncertain if an obd1 and 2 are interchangable, you may need to swap out the sensors and the dizzy harness complete, its a chore, but possible

oh yeah.. ok, the wires are.. 7 pin= 2 crank angle, 2 tdc, 2 cylinder position, and the last is a ground, the other plug is pos and neg of coil. im not 100 % because im going by memory and im color blind to boot, but the blue black should be going to the ground on or near water pump?????

RE: Please help!

Hey, thanks for the reply. I figured it out, the wires where a different color on the harness but not one the actual dizzy itself so I swaped them over. Im using the ex harness so I had the vtec plugs already, just lengthened them a bit. I didnt realize this was such a complicated swap! Ill have to post a "how to" on it, because alot of the research I did, did not pull up any clues about the power steering hose issue and other problems I ran into. Anyway, thanks again, ill post pictures of the swap soon, im going to start her up tomarrow! Hope it goes well. Later.
