is this possible?

For my first car i am hoping to get a 98 civic coupe but for insurance purposes will only be able to afford the non vtec. which is why i have chosen the lsi.

is it possible to fit the vtec head for the civic coupe SR to the lSI?

if so would it give any advantages - such as the high rpm boost

cheers

yeah, its possible to put a sohc vtec head on a non-vtec block. its called a mini-me headswap. youll find a bit of info on it if you search around here and all over the Net. and yeah, it will help top end power a lot.

thanx for your reply, i have been reading some info on the mini me swap but it seems that they are only doing it on the early civics. can this be done to a 98.

cheers

yes

the thing is with newer civics its usually a better deal to just get a full engine swap

read the different results of the head swaping cause they give different performances like compression and horse.
