Prelude Engines

Ok a prelude i am looking at buying as the H22A4 engine. What are the specs on this engine and does anyone have any experience with it?

Wow those are some good numbers... if these cars are so powerfull how come you don't hear more about them??? Seams like everyone is always talking about the integra around here....

RE: Prelude Engines

because B series engines are just all around better engines. they are capable of just as much power and torque, lighter, have a bigger aftermarket, and are just easier to work with in a civic. what your saying is the same as saying 'wow these supras put out some sweet numbers. why dont we hear more about them? everyone here is all about skylines'. not even remotely close to a level playing field.

besides...Prelude numbers are blown up more than integra numbers. in reality at the wheels, the H makes about the same power as your average GSR.

EDIT: actually on the topic of the GSR v. any H...the GSR just takes to mods so much better. it isnt known as one of the most tunable four bangers for nothing. Ive seen dyno numbers of a guy with an H22A4 (actually while looking for those numbers), the guy had a CAI, bigger TB, aftermarket IM, crower stage 2 cam/valvetrain, minor PnP, 3 angle valve job, exhaust manifold, hi-flow cat, and 2.5" exhaust and was putting around 190 down to the wheels. with that much work a GSR would easilly be over 200.

How come it seems like nobody likes the B16a anymore?

not sure if your talking about a swap or not but if you are swapping go K-series IMO k20a2 from the RSX - S.

RE: Prelude Engines

i never really liked the b16 as a swap because you gain like .00987129587 ft-lbs of tq over your d16.

a K into an EK is an extremely impractical idea. dollar for dollar, you will run laps on it with an LS or GSR.
