Default problems

ok well i was driving and my timing belt broke, i replaced the timing belt and the cam gears and now i hear a weird clicking noise coming from over by the dizzy and also when i drive my car is some what hesitating. It sounds like the rpms are getting high but it feels like the power is not getting to the wheel. Just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong, and also if it is possible to have a timing belt on to tight?, Thanks please respong quick b/c i really need help

unfortunatly our engines are interference engines, so when a timing belt snaps, or jumps a tooth, the valves may contact the piston and bend, it sounds like you most likly bent a valve, to fix it, the head mus be remeove and the valve replaced, although sometimes more severe dammage amy occur

but do you think thats what my hesitation problem is? It feels like it wants to go but just doesnt move like it used to.

you probably bent valves when your timing belt snapped. you're going to have to pull the head off, it might be junk now
