Default QUESTION ABOUT TUNING

im new to all this and i was wondering what exactly do ppl mean by tuning/getting a good tune

air fuel ratio is the typical case they are reffering to.

air/fuel ratio, timing, part throttle timing/fuel, iat's, egt's, so on and so forth. Alot more than most can grasp

No offense man, but if your asking what i means to tune a car, do yourself and your car a favor, get someone else to do it for the love of god. Also, what is done to your car that requires it to be tuned?

FYI- People go to school and technical colleges for this kind of stuff. The concepts arent too hard to understand but the methods and instrumentation require practice and training.

fixing and checking things on your car so they work together better.I do a compression check,clean plugs,fuel pressure gauge check,timing check with a timing light.Some people have a ecu you reprogram to change the levels,On mine the o2 tells the ecu what is comeing out of the engine and it fixes the ratio.But if your o2 is broke or missing your ecu has a preset ratio.
