i have a d16y8 sohc non vtec and i was wonderin if it is hard to put another head that has vtec on it and what parts are needed.

If you have a D16y8 you ahve vtec, if you don't have vtec then you have a D16y7

Check the block for the engine code, or what model civic do you have?
