Default RANDOM REVVING?!

HI, I HAVE JUST REPLACED MY D16Y7 WITH A NEWER ONE, I AM HAVING A PROBLEM AS WHEN I TURN IT ON, IT REVS UP TO THE REDLINE BY ITSELF. WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHY THIS COULD BE? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. CHEERS

something is dumping too much fuel or too much air.... i had a prelude that would rev and cut and i covered up a malfunctioning fast idle valve and it was fixed.

check your throttle body gasket and intake manifold gasket.

cheers,i managed to get it running ok after giving all the bolts and connections an extra tweak. i turned it off and left it for a while. when i came back and turned it on it ran really low then made a crunching sound before cutting out. now its turning but not starting up. my fuel pump+leads are working. any help on this one guys? thanks

describe crunching sound. you could have done something really bad as opposed to just running lean.
