rocker arm removal

I have a 1991 civic.
I in the process of replacing the valves.
I want to remove the rocker arm to get to the valves. The bolts were removed, but was unable to remove the rocker arms as yet. I don't want to do any nasty prying, is there a secret to this problem?

Back at it again.

After the snow melted and a little warmer I am trying again.
The rocker arms are still in there. It acts like they are glued down. I've checked the repair book and all that is said is remove the bolts in order as shown and then lift the rockers out of the head. I can't find anything else that might be holding it down. Very frustrating and this car belongs to my wife. Has anybody run into this problem.:o:o

I would try to tap it with a rubber mallet or something to knock it loose without damaging/denting it. Just double/triple check all the bolts are out.

Retaining pins are keeping it in place. A few taps and it will move up.
